ガラスは、どこか太陽のようだと感じます。

1250℃で溶かされているガラスは熱く燃える夕陽のようで、冷めた透明のガラスはまるで朝陽のようだと思いました。

朝のツンとした空気の匂いや、まだ眠い目の奥にしみる眩しい光は、ガラスのはなつなんとも言えない光とよく似ていると思います。

私はこのガラスという素材を使い、日常で使う器やフラワーベースを制作しています。

吹きガラスの工程は、真っ赤な夕陽から朝陽の欠片を作っているような気分になります。

今回の展示会では、主に透明のガラスを使った器とフラワーベースを展示・販売しています。

是非ガラスを手に取って、透明に光るガラスと生活をしてみてください。きっと、日常が少し、輝いて見えると思います。

I feel that glass is somewhat like the sun.

Glass melted at 1250°C glows like a burning sunset, while the cooled transparent glass resembles the morning sun.

The crisp scent of the morning air and the blinding light that pierces the still-tired eyes remind me of the indescribable light emitted by glass.

Using this material called glass, I create everyday items such as vessels and flower vases.

The process of glassblowing feels like crafting fragments of the morning sun from a blazing sunset.

In this exhibition, I am showcasing and selling mainly vessels and flower vases made of transparent glass.

Please take the glass in your hands and try living with the transparent, glowing glass. I believe it will make your everyday life shine a little brighter.

私の活動に共通するのは、「見ること・覚えているということ・思い出すこと」

の3つのような気がしている。

いつか見た風景や印象的な視覚的イメージ、そういうものを拾いあげ、制作に繋げていく。

自分が共感した本の中に、ロザリンド・E・クラウスの『視覚的無意識』がある。

文中に”風景狩り”というフレーズが登場する。ただ海を眺め、波を数えるだけのジョン・ラスキンを描写したクラウスの造語であるが、私がしている「瞬間的な風景を描写して絵にする」という行為もまさに、狩りをしているように思えてならなかった。

そのため、素朴な自然観察の行為・ラスキンの自然主義には強く共感している。

他方で「風景」をいつかの思い出、時間的なものとして解釈するならば、作品からは叙情性も見いだせる。これは、物語的ともいえるかもしれない。

記憶の一部にある数多のイメージを表出させると同時に、思い出をかたちにしている。

表現するメディアによらず、私は、一貫した”風景狩り”を行う。

『かもめの翼は切子回転す。』

これは、かもめの群れが一斉に飛び立つ風景を見て、言葉で描写したものだ。

日頃から私は、自然を観察する中で目撃した風景の数々を言葉や絵画、その他メディアへと象形している。

たとえば『青、深夜、吊橋』は真冬の深夜にサイクリングをしたときの風景で、

『ふぶき』は三白眼でまだら模様の馬がこちらを振り向いた印象がモチーフになっている。

本展では、モチベーションを自然観察に強く求める作品群を中心に選んだ。

展示空間そのものが、私の見た風景を追体験できる装置になることを期待する。

What unites my activities seems to be three things: seeing, remembering, and recalling.

I pick up landscapes I've seen once or visually striking images and link them to my creation process.

Among the books I've connected with is Rosalind E. Krauss's "The Optical Unconscious."

The term "landscape hunting" appears in the book, a coinage by Krauss describing John Ruskin, who simply gazed at the sea and counted the waves. The act of capturing fleeting landscapes and turning them into paintings, which I engage in, felt very much like hunting to me.

Therefore, I strongly resonate with the act of simple natural observation and Ruskin's naturalism.

On the other hand, if "landscape" is interpreted as memories or something temporal, one might also find lyricism in the works. This could be considered narrative.

While expressing numerous images from my memory, I'm also giving shape to memories.

Regardless of the medium of expression, I consistently engage in "landscape hunting."

"The wings of the seagull rotate like cut glass."

This was described in words after seeing a flock of seagulls take off simultaneously.

I habitually shape landscapes I've observed in nature into words, paintings, and other media.

For example, "Blue, Midnight, Suspension Bridge" is based on a landscape I saw while cycling in the deep midnight of winter,

And "Blizzard" was inspired by a dappled horse with sanpaku eyes turning to look at me.

In this exhibition, I've selected works that are strongly motivated by the observation of nature.

I hope the exhibition space itself becomes a device that allows people to re-experience the landscapes I've seen.

This exhibition is a meeting place for the varying perspectives of Tanaka, Ogata, and Naito, and for the sharp vision that each has cultivated. The exhibition is not only for the exhibitors but also hopes to foster new "perspectives" among the viewers, through the art. The title "Eyes: Meet" refers to "exchanging glances." 江藤央羅 : 私は作品の内側の世界と外側の世界とに繋がりを持たせたい。

また、作品を通して鑑賞者自身の存在を認識させることも意識していることの一つである。

加えて、自分の作品にはまだ作品の外空間が必要だと思う。それは決して絵画そのものが悪

いという話では無く、画面の中だけでは説得しきれないコトは展示空間そのものの利用の仕

方を再思考すべきだと言うことだ。

見て感じた感覚のリアルさを探求することにおいて写真や記憶、見たままとのそれぞれの齟

齬をとっぱらい、画面内の情報と鑑賞者の経験によって絵画という一つの現実世界を成立さ

せたい。

明暗の光、マテリアルの光をもってチャラさ、煌めきを表現しつつ、リアルかつ軽快な絵画

を目指している。

藤原收望 : 私には五感の延長線上に表現がある。そして、絵画の中には社会があると想定しより高度な社会に作り出すことができれば宇宙の真理に辿りつくと信じ、葛藤しもがいている。

Ora Eto : "I want to create a connection between the inner world of my work and the outer world. Another thing I am conscious of is making the viewers aware of their own existence through my work.

Additionally, I think that my work still needs an external space beyond the artwork itself. This doesn't mean that the painting itself is bad. Rather, it suggests that things which cannot be convincingly depicted solely within the frame should prompt rethinking of how the exhibition space itself is used.

In exploring the realism of the sensations experienced, I aim to dismiss discrepancies between photographs, memories, and as-seen realities, establishing a new reality of painting through the information within the frame and the viewers' experiences. I am aiming to create paintings that are both realistic and buoyant, expressing frivolousness and sparkle through the light of chiaroscuro and materials.

Motomitsu Fujiwara : "For me, expression lies on the extension of the senses. I assume that within paintings there is a society; by creating a more advanced society, I believe we can reach the truths of the universe, and in this belief, I struggle and strive.

瓶詰めの絵具の粒子を絵皿に出し、そこに、膠を2滴。中指でよく練ったら、真っ白のキャンバスに飛び込むように私を擦り込みます。 素材との対話で生まれた絵具の現象は、ひとつたりとも同じ効果を見せずに、布や紙、セメントに痣のように貼り付きます。その流動的な素材たちに触れ、それらには血が通っている ことに気づいた時、まるで魔女になったような、そんな気分でした。 生かすも殺すも、自分の術次第である「つくる」という行為にて、ささやかな願いが息をし 続けられますように、と世界にばら撒かれた欠片を拾い集め、愛でてきた私が、今見せられる嘘偽りひとつないものたちを展示します。

これは、これからもわたしでいるための、内緒話です。

I put out a particle of bottled paint on a painting plate, and then two drops of glue. After kneading it well with my middle finger, I rub it in as if diving into a pure white canvas. The phenomenon of the paint, born from a dialogue with the material, sticks to fabric, paper, and cement like a bruise, with no one effect ever being the same. When I touched these fluid materials and realized that they were alive, I felt like a witch. I have been collecting and loving the fragments scattered around the world, hoping that my modest wish will continue to breathe through the act of "making," which can make or break, depending on my own technique. This is a secret story to keep me going.

What I have cherished. What I have done. Everything and everyone around me is leaving me here and now.

I realized that everything was incomplete, that I was immature. Yet, I still want to chase after them.

I loved everything that left me.

My interests in psychoanalysis, sexuality, Buddhism, and femininity are at the core of my painting practice.

Recently, I have been working on a motif of a robot whose head is a mirror.

Personal feelings such as distance from personal people, contradictions between oneself and society, and emotions such as love are projected and painted into the motifs.

The exhibition examines the dialogue with others and the boundary between self and others.

Nosaki collects cigarette butts from smokers all over Tokyo and densifies them to create a sculpture.

Tanaka leaves his paintings to the viewer and attempts to change their form and meaning.

Nosaki tries to "make a part of someone else's life mine," and Tanaka tries to "make my things a part of someone else's life." In this way, they hope to create a place where they can gradually come face to face with everyone who comes to the exhibition space.

A documentary about working with a mother on a graduation project.

In 2023, when Kona Eguchi was going back to her past works to think of a plan for her graduation project, she remembered her mother's opinions about her work, and came up with a plan to create a work that dared to listen to her mother's opinions. In the course of interviewing his mother about the plan for the work, he became interested in her and began recording her work.

The battle between the mother, who loves painting, and the daughter, who has distanced herself from painting, now begins.

タイムマシンを作りました。

搭乗者は人形の冷凍保存機に入り目的の時間まで眠る事になります。

この装置が普通のそれと違うのは、ただ乗るだけでは無く、必ず目的の時間まで機械を維持する人が必要という点です。

搭乗者は発電を維持する人を確保する必要がありますが、目的の時間が長ければ長いほど維持する事の意味は形骸化し薄れていく事でしょう。

形骸化され搭乗者の価値が全て忘れられらて発電が止まったその時に、彼はタイムトラベルに失敗して死にます。

人力で稼働するタイムマシン！

君の未来はどこぞの誰かに託された。

I created the time machine.

Passengers enter a cryo-preservation machine for dolls and sleep until the desired time.

What makes this device different from ordinary ones is that it must have a person to maintain the machine until the desired time, not just to ride in it.

The passenger must have someone to maintain the power generation, but the longer the desired time, the more meaningless the maintenance becomes.

The longer the desired time period, the more meaningless the time machine will become.

A human-powered time machine!

Your future has been entrusted to someone else.

きらめき彫刻祭とは​​

　「彫刻ってなんだろう?」

　公園にある銅像だったり、仏像だったり、駅前とかにあるよく分かんないモニュメントだったりするのでしょうか。

彫る・刻むと書かれたこの言葉、”sculpture”の翻訳語として明治時代に日本で誕生しました。

当時は木彫か塑造(粘土)かと言われていた『彫刻』ですが現代ではそんなわけもなく、音や光、3Dプリントを使ったりと無限に広がる素材・技法・思考の中でフワフワと揺れています。かつて『彫刻』と呼ばれたものは今はもうありません。今、私たちがつくる美術の歴史ではしっかり前を向き進み続ける、そして時たま振り返ってみる。それがひとまず大事なんじゃないかなと。もはや現代では誰も定義できないものですが、それぞれのキュレーション・作品にとって『彫刻』がどのような存在なのか。

　「きらめき彫刻祭」は、それぞれの想う『彫刻』との関係が見え、

一挙に色々な種類の想いが感じられる、そんな芸術祭です。

「陰と陽」は様々な解釈が出来ます。これに深浅の差はあれど、それらは表裏一体で双方の要素が複雑に合わさってできています。

写真を用いた表現、太陽の黒点をモチーフにした絵画、合作への試みなど、多方面からの観察あるいは思考から生まれたものをお互いに絡めあい感覚に対し実直に展示しております。

Duo exhibition by Tama Art University oil painting classmates

The title of the exhibition is "forte and piano".

"Yin and Yang" can be interpreted in various ways. They are two sides of the same coin, and are made up of a complex combination of both elements.

The expression using photographs. Painting using sunspots as a motif. An attempt at a collaborative work. The works, which are born from observations or thoughts from various fields, are intertwined with each other, and are exhibited honestly against the senses.

網野凪沙 : 今回は「記録」をテーマに制作している。

先日、変化する空間に適応しながら走っていくランニングという行為は、身体的感覚としても、データとしても、時間を内包したその状況の「記録」であるという気づきがあった。

それを経て今回の展示では、とある私の焦燥が「もの」になった経験を記録した。「描く」という行為もまた「前進」を伴う。展示する記録物が示すものは、私の態度が次第に絵の具の塊へと変化していく時間の流れである。

阿部美咲 : 絵の具がよく滲んだとき、窓の反射に目が留まったとき、その空き地に何が在ったかをを思い出したとき。その瞬間、自分の呼吸と場所の空気が、心地よく入り混じった感じがする。

「あ、いまちょうどいい息してる。」そういう瞬間を描いています。

Nagisa Amino : In this exhibition, I am working on the theme of "record".

The other day, I had an epiphany that the act of running, adapting to a changing space, is a "record" of that situation that encompasses time, both as a physical sensation and as data.

Through this realization, I recorded an experience in which my frustration became a "thing" in this exhibition. The act of "painting" also involves "progress. What the exhibited records show is the flow of time in which my attitude gradually transformed into a lump of paint.

Misaki Abe : When the paint blends well, when the reflection in the window catches my eye, when I remember what was there in that vacant lot. At that moment, I feel a pleasant mixture of my breath and the air of the place.

"Ah, now I'm breathing just right." That is the kind of moment I am trying to depict.

材料や形式に囚われず日々制作を行う二人の作家は、ふと絵画に帰ってくる。突然重なった互いの"絵画周期"は、今後一体何に波及するのか。

東京藝術大学油画専攻3年の杉本ひなたと本田奈々の作品を展覧いたします。

杉本ひなた : 現在、学部生として油画を学ぶ作者は、素材やモチーフにフォーカスして制作を行い、抽象と具象の間を流動的に行き来している。

今回の展示作品は、モチーフを何度も複写しエラーを得ることで絵画を構築している。

本田奈々 : キャンバスや絵の具などの様々な素材の可能性と自身が絵画の中で必要とする｢点・線・面・色・形｣の要素の可能性をどこまで広げることが出来るのか、また自らの無意識の行為の連続にある、絵を描く行為そのものの過程に重きを置いた制作をしている。

The two artists, who work daily without regard to materials or form, suddenly return to their paintings. What will their "painting cycle," which suddenly overlaps with each other, spill over into in the future?

This exhibition features works by Hinata Sugimoto and Nana Honda, both 3rd year majors in oil painting at Tokyo University of the Arts.

Hinata Sugimoto : As a student of oil painting, the artist focuses on materials and motifs, moving fluidly between abstraction and figuration.

In the works in this exhibition, the artist constructs paintings by repeatedly copying motifs and making errors.

Nana Honda : My works focus on the possibilities of various materials such as canvas and paint, and how far I can expand the possibilities of the elements of "point, line, plane, color, and form" that I need in my paintings, as well as the process of painting itself, which is a series of unconscious actions.
